'This painting was completed from a series of sketches I did at the Okondeka waterhole in Etosha National Park in Namibia. Finding these elusive animals is always a matter of luck. At Etosha on this occasion we were able to watch this pair of cheetah nervously try to approach the spring at Okondeka. The two cheetah were aware that there were several lions lying up behind some bushes in the viscinity of the waterhole. '
