'This is another of my many Shakawe paintings of birds. This painting of a plover was more about the crystal clear waters of the Okavango in Botswana than about a beautiful flying bird. Clear, clean water in a wilderness setting has a big message for me. It reminds me about how we take such things for granted and yet we are trashing the environment with plastic and chemicals. Most people have never see clean wild water. They see clean domestic water running from a tap in a city. Wild Crystal Water is me honoring the beauty and perfectness of nature. '
